井上陽水｢白い一日」
CDアルバム『氷の世界』と『ガイドのいない夜』で「白い一日」を聴いた。作詞：小椋桂 作曲：井上陽水
『ガイドのいない夜』（1992）は、再レコーディングした11曲のアルバムである。
何を聴こうかと新潮文庫の「ラインダンス」をめくった。1982年12月に出版されたこの詩集には、アンドレ・カンドレ時代の「カンドレ・マンドレ」から、アルバム「ライオンとペリカン」までの全ての詩が収められている。
目次に鉛筆で好きな曲に丸印をつけていて、おまけに「白い一日」と書き加えて丸をしている（笑）。作詞が陽水でないから、載っていなかったのだ。
カバーが横尾忠則、寄稿が色川武大・沢木耕太郎、年表やインタビューもある贅沢な一冊である。
娘から誕生日祝いにもらったのだった。乏しい小遣いから440円（当時）払って買ったのだろう。彼女が選んだ臙脂色のカバーはもうぼろぼろだが、替えられない。
「白い一日」は小椋桂も歌ってレコーディングもしている。ふたりの歌う歌詞が一字違っていることについてのエピソードも面白い。
『氷の世界』では、ギター2本がvocalを際立たせ、ヴァイオリンも。『ガイドのいない夜』では、ピアノがフィーチャーされ、ベースが支え、シンセサイザーも加わっている。
♪まっ白な陶磁器を
という歌いだしの歌詞のように、陶磁器のような手触りの曲である。「寝ころがれば」のところを、言葉をころがすように歌うのをドキドキして聴いたっけ。聴きなれたせいか、『氷の世界』ヴァージョンが好き。
2004年発売の「YOSUI TRIBUTE」では、玉置浩二が歌っている。ギター弾き語りにピアノが寄り添って、穏やかな感じの曲となっている。
