井上陽水｢長い話」
CDアルバム『UNDER THE SUN』で「長い話」を聴いた。作詞：井上陽水 作曲：井上陽水・BAnaNA-UG-KAWASHIMA
「Make-up Shadow」や「五月の別れ」を含み、明るい曲、堂々たる曲の多い『UNDER THE SUN』（1993）の最後に、高ぶりをおさめるように「長い話」はある。
今日の昼間は2歳児の子守を引き受けて過した。子守で一番の難関は「昼寝させ」作業で、このコツは、自分が眠っちゃうことなのだが、それではあんまりだから、即興の話を聞かせていた。本人を主人公にすると、気に入ったところで微笑んでうなずくのが可愛い。結局効果はなかったが。

♪君にしてあげる
の「君」は当然、幼児ではない。
この詩は珍しく、え？そういくの？というふうな展開がないように思うが、どこかに落とし穴（笑）があるのだろうか？
「星座のあかりも消えたまま」だから、夜がちゃんと暗い、都会ではない場所の静かな一室で、「耳だけ澄ましてね」と女に長い話をする男。ずいぶんとへりくだった物言いの男である。ふたりのキャラクターとシーンを、つい想像してしまう。
