井上陽水「ダンスはうまく踊れない」
CDアルバム『9.5カラット』（1984年LP）で「ダンスはうまく踊れない」を聴いた。作詞・作曲/井上陽水 編曲/久石譲。
前にも書いたが『9.5カラット』は他のシンガーへ提供した曲を陽水自身が歌ったアルバム。「ダンスはうまく踊れない」は石川セリへの提供曲で、原曲は1977年のシングル（EP）石川セリ『ダンスはうまく踊れない』（日本フォノグラム/PHILIPS）、B面は作詞/石川セリ 作曲/井上陽水の「気まぐれ」。
1977年というとアルバム『white』の曲たちの頃か。これも前に書いた井上陽水の詩集《ラインダンス》（新潮文庫）では、『white』の曲のあとに「映画に行こう」とともに掲載されている。
余談だが、タイトルに“ダンス”がある曲は他に、『white』の「ダンスの流行」と、シングル『悲しき恋人』（1984年）のB面「ダンスのチャンス」があることを《井上陽水公式サイト》Discographyで検索して発見（というほどのことではないが）。
猫好きには「ネコが足もとで踊」る曲として認識されている（私だけ？）。他にすぐ浮かぶのは「娘がねじれる時」に登場するのら猫だが、あまり話を逸らせてはいけない。

こっそり、という感じのイントロで始まる。主人公は女性で、夏の夜、ひとり昔を想っている。ふたりでステップを踏んだあの時を。
ゆったりスイングするメロディは踊るさまが見えるよう。聴きやすい曲。
この曲はジャズアレンジのアルバム『Blue Selection』にも収録されている。『9.5カラット』のほうが、踊りやすいかもしれない。

『九段』の「ビルの最上階」を聴いて、村上春樹の「ダンス・ダンス・ダンス」を思い出し、気づいた。
この「ダンスはうまく踊れない」って、他人とのコミュニケーションをうまくとれないってことかもしれない。
