井上陽水「white」
CDアルバム『white』(1978年LP)でタイトル曲「white」を聴いた。作詞・作曲/井上陽水 編曲/星勝。
休暇中に話題の本《野ブタ。をプロデュース》（白岩玄著 河出書房新社）を読んだ。初版が2004年11月で、その前に雑誌《文藝》に発表し昨年の文藝賞を受賞したらしい。 それらのことは知らずに、休暇先で借りて読んだら、これが面白い。
高校生の主人公「俺」は自分を見せずに、「着ぐるみ」桐谷修二を学校で演じ、人気者だ。タイトルは、修二が転校生「野ブタ」をプロデュースして、いじめられ役からアイドルに仕立てるという意だが、反面「俺」は････。
（笑）を文中で使ったりするメールのような文章に最初なじめないものの、いい大人が面白く読んだのは、題材や設定は今風でも、普遍のテーマが垣間見えるから。周りに理解されない自分。青春期のプライドとその裏返しのコンプレックス。仮面については、誰でも程度の差はあれ、かぶって社会を生きているのではないのか？
そういう自分をウジウジ嘆いたり、孤高を気取ったりせず、「俺」は着ぐるみを着て果敢に打って出て成功している、演技が破綻するまでは。
この本がいま話題になっているのは、どうもジャニーズの若手人気俳優、山下智久と亀梨和也が出演して、ドラマ化されるかららしい。日本テレビ系土曜ドラマ、10月スタート。
出演者もさることながら、脚本家が“木皿泉”と聞いて驚いている。ずいぶん前だが《やっぱり猫が好き》の何本かと、2003年夏の日本テレビ系土曜ドラマ《すいか》（名作！）の作者である。原作のある本は初めてではないだろうか。
原作には大人は一切（教師は「おっさん」「おばさん」と切り捨てられ）登場しないが、ドラマではどうなのか。常連の“小林聡美”“もたいまさこ”などの出番はないのか？「やりたいことしかやらない」らしいこの脚本家が、どのようにさばくのか、興味津々、楽しみである。
それはともかく・・・って長すぎる前置きだが。
♪嘘をつく子は日暮れの
♪別れの時の居場所がわからない
上記の本の終わり近く、彼女との別れのシーンに合いそうなフレーズで始まる。
アルバム《white》の3曲目にあって、前の「ミスコンテスト」の苦味から転じて、単調な曲想がとても寂しい。なにか、聞いてはいけないような気持ち。でも、聞き出すと繰り返して聴く。
♪甘いミルクを飲んでも白いだけです
もう自分の色がわからない。「足をふみだす」方法がわからない。詩だけ読んでも胸が痛む。
再び《野ブタ・・・・》に戻るが、アイデンティティとは、他者があってこそ成り立つのに、それに気づかない、あるいは、気づいても他者に素の自分を見せる勇気がない。そこに悲劇がある。ハードボイルドな終わりは、潔いが、せつない。
♪風向きしだいで変わるでしょうか
♪どんな風向きだろうと同じ事です
