井上陽水「BACK SIDE」
リマスタリングされ2001年に発売されたCDアルバムBOX『ReMASTER』の『extra-1』で「BACK SIDE」を聴いた。作詞・作曲/井上陽水。 シングルCD『最後のニュース』（1989年）のカップリング曲。
曲についての客観的なデータはともかく、他の人の意見や感想あるいは井上陽水本人のコメントも、なるべく見ないふりをしてここのコラムを書いている。曲だけを、つたない聴き方にせよ、なるべく虚心に聴きたいと思っている。
「BACK SIDE」について、「“B面”という歌」とのコメントをどこかで読んだかもしれないが、見なかったことにして勝手に聴く。
♪悲しいから歌わせて 青空さん
♪さみしいから躍らせて 青空さん
詞は短いが曲は４分５２秒と長い。編曲者の名前は記されていなのでわからない。
「青空さん」「たそがれさん」「ほしぞらさん」との呼びかけがさみしい。
純愛、家族愛がもてはやされる半面で、親に、愛されないどころか無視される子供の実話やフィクションを数年前からよく見かける。読みすすめたり、見続けたりがつらいものもあるが、子供の生きる力が最後には救いになる。
この詞は、恋人に向かって詠っているのかもしれないが、今日聴くと“僕”は子供に思えて悲しい。
